Our Curriculum

EYFS Principals

At EduFun Nursery, we follow the British Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum (EYFS). Our curriculum at EduFun is a theme-based experience, enhanced with special learning opportunities at each level. All teachers collaborate to create optimum opportunities to progress and develop, in a safe and healthy environment aiming to develop a meaningful learning experience that reaches across the curriculum and engages the whole child.

The four principals of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) underpin all the guidance which shape our learning programme are:

A Unique Child

‘Every child is a unique child who is constantly learning and can be resilient, capable, confident and self-assured’.

Our dedicated staff observe, monitor and understand your child’s development and learning, identifying all the child’s needs, requirements for additional support, inclusion, safety, health and well-being.

Positive Relationships

‘Children learn to be strong and independent through positive relationships.’

Our staff promote a sense of belonging in your child, and are sensitive and responsive to your child’s needs, feelings and interests. They endeavour to form a positive relationship with you, your child and learn about the values, expectations and the factors that shape your lives at home.

Enabling Environments

‘Children learn and develop well in enabling environments, in which their experiences respond to their individual needs and there is a strong partnership between practitioners and parents and carers.’

Our staff facilitate learning in an environment which is stimulating and enriching for your child, with extremely well-resourced learning opportunities. They also provide many opportunities for you to be involved in your child’s development at the Nursery.

Learning and Development

‘Children develop and learn in different ways. The framework covers the education and care of all children in early years provision, including children with special educational needs and disabilities.’

Our staff provide your child challenging, playful opportunities across the prime and specific areas of learning and development.
